  “Flipping the Classroom” is a very interesting concept to me.    I love the idea of having a homework assignment to watch or listen to a video that will prepare your students for the next class, however, I think this would take quite a bit of training and practice for my students to finally get a hang of it. Why flip your classroom? Students become active participants in the learning process.  In a traditional classroom model, students are passive participants, merely absorbing classroom or lecture material. There is often not enough time to stop and ask questions or discuss content. In a flipped model, however, lecture materials are posted online and made accessible 24/7. Thus, students have time to learn at their own pace, jot down any questions they may have before class, and refer to the material again and again. This method prevents students who may need more time to understand concepts from getting left behind as well. Students master material....

                      Teaching with the Constructivist Learning. Encourage and accept student autonomy and initiative. Try to use raw data and primary sources, in addition to manipulative, interactive, and physical materials. When assigning tasks to the students, use cognitive terminology such as "classify," "analyze," "predict," and "create." Build off and use student responses when making "on-the-spot" decisions about teacher behaviors, instructional strategies, activities, and content to be taught. Search out students' understanding and prior experiences about a concept before teaching it to them. Encourage communication between the teacher and the students and also between the students.
